Genesis of Chapter 2426

Our February 21, 2024 program will be presented by Jennifer Connor. She is the Austin Public Library Outreach coordinator working to inform Austin residents about all the services/resources at the library. You will be pleasantly surprised by what is offered at our Central Library as well as programs at all the branch libraries. One of the services offered at our branch library is called Tech Time. It is your opportunity to obtain help with your cell phone questions.

Tech Time-Learn to download books and use digital Library resources. Bring in your tablet, smartphone, Ipad or eReader for help navigating the Virtual Library, downloading eBooks, audiobooks, digital magazines and more! Tech Time sessions take place at various Austin Public Library locations throughout town. Drop in anytime during the session. The estimated setup time for each device is about 20 minutes

At our September meeting, we celebrated Diez y Sies and National Hispanic Month by bringing in Texas Senator Gonzalo Barientos and Gary Moreno, Director of the Latin America Cultural Center at ACC.  Senator Barientos spoke about growing up, his time spent in the Texas Senate, and his love for the Hispanic community, and of course Dies Y Sies.  Gary Moreno spoke about the Latin America Cultural Center, the work they do, and the impact on the community and State of Texas.
